Hojat shirmard

Geophysical Data Scientist &
MinEx Project Manager

Hojat Shirmard, PhD from the University of Sydney, has over 15 years of experience in mineral exploration and geophysics, having consulted on 200+ projects across Australia, Iran, Pakistan, Africa, and Fiji. His work spans the processing of geophysical, geological, geochemical, and multi- and hyperspectral imagery data, integrating these datasets to support mineral discovery.

Hojat has led technical teams and contributed to the discovery of multiple ore deposits through fieldwork, advanced data processing, and comprehensive data analysis.

Areas of Expertise:
• Mineral Prospectivity Mapping (MPM)
• 2D/3D inversion and modelling (IP/Resistivity, Magnetics, Gravity, EM, MT, CSAMT)
• Python automation for repeatable processing workflows
• Spectral remote sensing (VNIR–SWIR–LWIR) for mineral, alteration, structural, and lithological mapping
• Exploration geochemical data processing
• Machine learning applications in geophysics, geology, and mineral exploration
